The area has vast expanses of land ideal for ranching, and the high-grade meat from West Nicholson and other export grade beef produced by Cold Storage Company are among some of the best organic foods proudly produced by Zimbabwe.

This province is generally hot, sunny, and sandy. Most places are not suitable for human settlements because the area is generally dry. The type of vegetation is good for wildlife but not suitable for domestic animals. Naturally, this is the area where the biggest concentration of wild animals is located.
Most of the animals are managed by the Department of National Parks and Wildlife.While in this area why not try one of our meaty dishes or simply try to chew our game biltong? Biltong is meat that is spiced and dried. It could be meat from an elephant, a buffalo, or an impala. Do not worry, our biltong is never made from an animal that is endangered nor is it ever made from animals which are cruelly killed.

In Mahonaland West one should think of two main things of a commercial nature—farming and tourism. The red soils of this area produce all varieties of cash crops, which are then stored in the country’s massive grain silos around Banket and other areas.
